Our last visit to Burlington, I was able to get a rare video of Josh singing, while the kids played the piano. The longer he sang, the faster the kids got down from the piano. Here you are able to listen to his wonderful singing abilities! Enjoy!

Let it snow!

Well, it's official. We have gotten the first 'significant' amount of snow today. (Now significant is the key word). By any means, this doesn't compare to the amount of snow that Iowa has seen. But to my kids, it's alot. (It's not even an inch probably). But Taylor wanted to take some pictures of the snow to show everyone and they were so happy to look out Colin's window and look at the snow, collecting on the air conditioner units. It doesn't take much to entertain them! Ha! Plus, it looks really pretty!

Pizza Pizza!

Taylor loves helping out in the kitchen, whether it be baking, cooking, mixing, etc. So the other night, she wanted to help make homemade pizza. She did a great job at spreading the dough on the pan, the sauce, and topping it off with pepperoni's and cheese. Did it taste good!!!

Trip to Iowa

The kids and I headed to Cedar Rapids last Sunday (4th) and stayed up there until Tuesday. Then on Tuesday we headed down to Burlington and stayed until Thursday. Colin and Taylor got to open Xmas gifts from Gavin and Jayden. Colin received a Tonka race car racetrack and Taylor got a Belle Princess Barbie doll and a play pizza set. It was a nice visit. Taylor and Jayden had so much fun playing! Which they normally do, but sometimes they both have their spats, but the 2 days they saw each other, they played and played, climbed up on the couch's and slid down them, it was fun to watch them getting along together. It was a nice visit with the Cernin's and the Stevens' family!

Havin' some pizza! Yummy

Christmas with the Cernin's

Fred and Julie came down on New Years Eve day to celebrate Christmas with us. The kids were very excited to see them. Colin received a John Deere pedal tractor with trailer, coloring book, a smaller JD truck with Little People, clothes, and some clothes. Taylor received a activity desk for her room, clothes, a book, and a special princess quilt made by Grandma Cernin herself. It is adorable and now she can snuggle on the couch and be 'comfy cozy'! We had a great time while they were down here. They stayed thru Saturday morning. On one day, we were able to take the kids bikes outside for them to ride on.

Papa built the kids a tunnel. They had endless fun with this!

Taylors new desk. There is soooo much space on here for allll her color books, notepads, crayons, etc.!

Christmas Day.. Part I

I want to start off by wishing everyone a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year! The Cernin's had a Wonderful Christmas! The kids slowly came out to the living room to see if Santa has arrived. He did!

First we checked to see if the cookies were gone. He had eaten all the cookies, took a bite out of one and left that on the tray, ate the carrots, and drank the milk! He even left Taylor and Colin a note, Thanking them for the cookies and that they have been good kids this year. The look on Taylor's face...priceless. I wish we could have gotten a picture of it. She kept saying the rest of the day, "hey, I've been good!" She was so proud! That was a gift in itself! Too cute!

The kids checked their stockings. Colin got some Tonka cars, 2 books, and an M&M tin. Taylor got a book, M&M tin, LipSmacker lipsticks, and some Play Doh. In each of their stockings, Santa had even written them a note on the wrapping paper that was around the books.

Taylor's new Bike!

Colin opening his gifts

It wasn't alot this year, but Colin for one, would be happy with just about anything...pretty happy go lucky kinda kid. Plus he's still at the age where he isn't sure and it's just another day to him. I felt bad though putting the gifts under the tree the night before. He had 2 gifts and Taylor had 4. (One being the bike). We also figured he'd probably be getting gifts from our families. Taylor on the other hand, was a little more excited this year. All she wanted for Christmas was comfy cozy pants and a bike! Well, she got both of them! She is just the type to get excited over anything (usually not a lot) and loves everything she recieves. At the end of the evening, she turned to Tim and I and said, "I had a good Christmas". Now, what more could you ask for on Christmas? I also asked her "what did you like best? The presents or all of us being a family today?'' Guess what she said, "Being a family"! Need I say more?

Tim's parents are coming down on New Year'e Eve to celebrate. We are looking forward to their visit as well!!
